Local village lifts State of Emergency

Russells Point Mayor Robin Reames has lifted the State of Emergency issued for the village following last Wednesday’s storm.

Electric service has been restored to all residents. All dangerous hanging trees and limbs have been safely removed.

A storm debris collection site has been set up at the front of the municipal building at 433 State Route 708.

The village wants to express sincere appreciation to Alan Hale, Director of the Logan County Solid Waste District, for providing funding for the assistance from crews from the Engineer’s Office. The Logan County Commissioners and Emergency Management Agency were instrumental in making these reimbursement arrangements. Residents are to be commended for their patience and cooperation during this difficult time.

As storm debris cleanup continues, residents are reminded that all contractors must be registered with the village. A list of registered contractors is available at the municipal building or by calling the office at 843-2245.
