The award was created to honor Money Concepts Founder John P. "Jack" Walsh who passed away this past year. Walsh began Money Concepts in 1979 and was a visionary person looking to offer financial planning to everyone.
Dodds feels that receiving the award is a great honor because he knew Jack for more than 30 years and said that Jack's honesty, integrity, and vision to help people drew him to the company in the fall of 1979. He said being the first recipient of this honor was one of the greatest thrills of his life.
Dodds began in the financial services industry at a life insurance company and heard about Money Concepts in 1979. Currently Dodds is the owner and president of the Money Concepts office on the 2nd floor of the PNC Bank building at 145 South Main Street and is the Ohio Regional Director overseeing 40 offices across the state.
Before Jack passed away, he awarded a Chairman’s Award which Dodds received three times. Dodd has also been named Financial Planner of the Year.
