Four sentenced in Logan County Common Pleas Court

Four defendants were sentenced and six pleaded guilty before Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark O’Connor on Monday.

David Mathews (pictured), 52, of Lakeview, was sentenced to three years in prison and his driver’s license was suspended for one year for trafficking in drugs.

On December 21st, Mathews was arrested on multiple felony drug charges at his residence.

He was charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin.

The Logan County Joint Drug Task Force seized heroin, cash, and Mathews' vehicle.

Officers said the arrest was the result of an ongoing drug investigation.

Brad Doseck, 33, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to eight months in prison and ordered to pay restitution for breaking and entering.

Doug Summers, 19, of West Mansfield, was sentenced to the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility and five years community control and was ordered to pay court costs and attorney fees for burglary.

Kimberly Itoney, 19, of Kenton, was sentenced to three years community control and ordered to pay restitution, court costs, and attorney fees for forgery.

Alika Thomas, 26, of Russells Point, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction. Thomas must complete alcohol and drug counseling as well as three years community control.

Joann Keating (pictured), 28, of DeGraff, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction. Keating must complete alcohol and drug counseling and three years community control.

In February, Keating was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on State Route 287.

Authorities recovered a bulk amount of black tar heroin.

The Joint Drug Task Force said the arrests were the result of an ongoing investigation of black tar heroin transported from Columbus into Logan County.

Corina Cotterman, 22, of West Mansfield, pleaded guilty to burglary and safecracking and was granted intervention in lieu of conviction. Cotterman must complete alcohol and drug counseling and three years community control.

Samuel Lockwood, 38, of West Liberty, pleaded guilty to aggravated trespass.

Nathan Wright, 29, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Brock Rayles, 37, of Quincy, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering.
