The Champaign County Jr. Fair livestock sale was highlighted by the community's generosity Friday. Several buyers teamed up to support two local 4-Hers who lost their fathers in tragic accidents over the last year.

Howard Wilkins, 48, was killed in a snowmobile accident near his rural Cable home in the 2400 block of East Kanagy Road on January 7th around 8:45 p.m.
Wilkins, who was a hoof trimmer and Salem Township Trustee, was driving a Yamaha northbound through a field when he struck a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sarah Dill of rural West Liberty sold her steer for $10,650 to a group of buyers.
Jeffrey Dill, 48, was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash on State Route 29 northwest of Urbana on December 3rd around 7:30 p.m.
Dill was driving a 2006 Dodge pickup when he lost control on a curve just west of State Route 296. The westbound truck went off the right side of the road, struck a tree, and rolled over.
Dill was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dill was a longtime Champaign County Fair Board member.
