Authorities seized 564 marijuana plants at a residence in southern Union County Tuesday evening.
The Union County Multi Agency Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant at 14950 Fladt Road, which is southeast of Marysville. At maturity, the 564 plants have a street value of $560,000.
Task force members also seized several guns and marijuana growing equipment. The plants were being cultivated and grown outside the residence. "This was a rather large and sophisticated growing operation. With the size of this operation, it is apparent that the owners have some knowledge of horticulture and hydroponics," said Sheriff Jamie Patton.
The Union County Multi Agency Drug Enforcement Task Force, made up of members of the Marysville Division of Police, the Union County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Union County Sheriff’s Office, continues their efforts to disrupt drug trafficking in Union County.
The Task Force is continuing their investigation and the case will be presented to the Union County Grand Jury.
