An intoxicated man was arrested on multiple charges after authorities conducted a well being check at his residence Friday night around 8:30.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to Danny Ellis' home at 8867 Township Road 239, Lakeview.
Initially, Ellis' friend saw a noose on a tree and a stool underneath. The friend became concerned and contacted the sheriff's office.
Deputies responded and saw the noose and stool near the home.
Authorities knocked on the door, but Ellis, 42, did not respond.
Deputies found Ellis in the garage, seated in a broken chair on the ground.
Authorities questioned Ellis on the noose and he said he was going through some rough times.
Ellis was arrested for his own safety.
He then became irate and threatened deputies.
After Ellis was placed in the cruiser, he started banging his head against the door.
He refused to exit the patrol car at the Logan County Jail.
He threatened jail staff and attempted to spit on them.
Ellis was then placed in a restraint chair.
He was charged with persistent disorderly conduct and aggravated menacing.
