A local man suffered life-threatening injuries in a T-Bone crash south of Ada at the intersection of State Route 235 and County Road 60 Wednesday morning around 6:05.
The Findlay Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Ralph Red, 25, of Lakeview, was driving a 1996 Dodge Intrepid westbound on County Road 60 when he failed to stop at the stop sign and attempted to cross 235 in front of a northbound 2007 Kenworth commercial straight truck operated by Virgil Calvelage, 58, of Columbus Grove.
The Intrepid, which was struck on the driver's side, was separated into two pieces.
Red was transported from the scene by LifeFlight to St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He is listed in critical condition.
Calvelage, who was wearing his seat belt, was not injured.
It appears that Red was not wearing his seat belt.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Ada Fire and EMS, the Ada Police Department, and the Hardin County Sheriff's Office.
The accident remains under investigation.
