The Monroe Township Trustees discussed Monday an upcoming project at the township hall with help from the Logan County Board of Elections.
The board of elections was looking at the township hall's handicap accessibility. The board had the building inspected and some deficiencies were found. The board of elections then asked the trustees for continued use of the building as a polling place. The trustees agreed and the board of elections agreed to help the township pursue a grant. The grant would allow for the construction of a new handicap entrance at the side of the township hall. The trustees received a portion of the grant money Monday and will have the work carried out over the next few weeks.
The township has prepared two tandem trucks for the upcoming winter. The trucks have been inspected and certified by ODOT. Each truck can have a ten-foot blade attached for snow removal.
The township finished work on a Township Road 190 guardrail that was damaged about six weeks ago.
Trustee Don Bradley discusses the meeting's topics.
