Adriel incidents result in ten arrests

Ten Adriel School juveniles were taken into custody for separate incidents over a two-day period earlier this week.

The West Liberty Police Department reports that Robert O’Dell, 17, and Mona Goodson, 15, reportedly walked away from the Adriel Campus on Tuesday just after midnight.

After the juveniles could not be located, they were entered into LEADS/NCIC as missing persons. Their information was sent to area departments.

The two juveniles were suspected for a theft at an Urbana Speedway Wednesday morning around 4:30.

A Champaign County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a suspicious persons call in the eastern part of the county and located the juveniles.

Reports indicate that the deputy was assaulted and suffered minor injuries while taking O’Dell into custody.

O’Dell was transported to Mercy Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. He was later transported to the JDC in Marysville with several charges pending.

Goodson was transported to the Logan County JDC. She was charged with persistent disorderly conduct while other charges from Urbana Police are pending.

West Liberty Police responded to the Adriel campus on a report of a fight between several juveniles and Adriel staff Tuesday evening around 7:40.

Officers arrived and learned that a juvenile had fled the area on foot. The juvenile could not be located.

While officers were still at the school, another youth activated the fire alarm system.

Demetre Dallas, 15, was charged with assault.

Mason Weatherly, 14, was taken into custody Wednesday morning around 6:30 for running away from the campus.

A 13-year-old boy and 12-year-old boy were charged with persistent disorderly conduct.

The four juveniles were lodged in the Logan County JDC.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Mac-O-Chee EMS, State Highway Patrol, DeGraff Police, and Washington Township Police assisted officers.

Officers returned to Adriel on a call that four juveniles ran away from the school on Tuesday night around 11 o’clock.

Officers and deputies could not locate the three females and male.

Two of the runaways were spotted along South Main Street in Bellefontaine Wednesday morning around 11:30.

The other two runaways were spotted on a rail car on the railroad tracks behind the Fontaine Plaza.

The juveniles were taken into custody and transported to the Logan County JDC.

Aschistian Brown, 15, Makelia Madison, 15, Bonnie Barnes, 14, and an 11-year-old female were taken into custody and transported to the Logan County JDC.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office and Bellefontaine Police assisted in apprehending the juveniles.
