Nicole Daniels, CVB Director, Logan County Visitor’s Bureau, recently attended the Ohio Conference on Tourism at the Cincinnati Marriott North in West Chester.
She joined approximately 200 other tourism industry members to discuss tourism trends and opportunities, as well as to hear from national experts. The conference, sponsored by the Ohio Travel Association and the Ohio Office of TourismOhio, was held October 16th-18th.
Keynotes at the conference included: C.C. Chapman, marketing guru and author, who discussed contact strategies; Dr. Lalia Rach, director of the UW-Stout School of Hospitality Leadership, who updated attendees on tourism trends; and Laura Mandala, managing director at Mandala Research, who introduced recent findings from a cultural and heritage tourism report. The conference agenda also included sessions on sports tourism management, advocacy, mobile strategies, and more.
