T-Bone injury crash on Route 68

Both drivers were injured in a T-Bone crash south of Kenton on Route 68 at County Road 200 Monday night around ten o'clock.

The Findlay Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Jimmie Rankin, 42, of Marion, was driving a 2002 Ford Escape westbound on 200 when he failed to stop for a stop sign at 68 and struck the driver's side of a southbound 2013 Volvo semi operated by Robert Myer, 50, of Chatham, Ontario.

Both vehicles came to rest in a field east of 68.

Rankin was mechanically removed from his SUV, then transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by BKP EMS. He suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Myer suffered a minor injury, but he was not transported.

Troopers continue their investigation.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Richland Township Fire Department, and BMRT EMS assisted at the scene.
