A Bellefontaine man took a trip Saturday that concluded with a visit to the Logan County Jail, where he found himself facing a felony drug charge.
Charles L. Yule, 21, 113 Powers, was arrested by the Bellefontaine City Police around 10 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Garfield. Yule had been transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by the Bellefontaine squad from 332 Garfield at about 9 a.m. He reportedly refused treatment and left the hospital.
Police became involved when they received notice that the Logan County Sheriff’s Department had received several hang-up calls from a cell phone, calls that reportedly were made by Yule.
Yule was located on foot by officers near the railroad crossing on Garfield and showed signs of hallucinogenic intoxication, but was reportedly compliant and was arrested without incident. A search of Yule, however, recovered 17 hits of paper or “blotter” LSD, which lead to a felony charge of possession of LSD. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of drug abuse and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
