Heather O'Donnell assigned to work from home

Heather O'DonnellThe Midwest Regional Educational Service Center Board will meet in special session at the Bellefontaine office, 121 Opera Street, on Friday at 10 a.m.

The board will consider the employment status of longtime Superintendent Heather O'Donnell, 46, of Lewistown.

Board President Randy Sailor reports that O'Donnell has been assigned to her home during regular work hours. She is not permitted on ESC property or at ESC activities.

On Tuesday, O'Donnell was indicted on two felony counts of child endangering.

Her husband, Pat, was indicted on 14 felony sex charges, including four counts of rape, four counts of sexual battery, and six counts of gross sexual imposition.

O'Donnell, 52, was charged for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at his Lewistown and Russells Point homes.

The incidents happened from January 2013 to October 2016.

Heather is accused of not protecting her child from the alleged abuse.

The couple was arrested Tuesday afternoon and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
