Local driver cited for serious injury accident on Route 33

A local driver was cited following a serious injury accident near Marysville on Route 33 east of Route 36 Wednesday afternoon just before one o'clock.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Lynette Bichan-Abke, 53, of 408 Township Road 129 North, Zanesfield, was driving a 2012 Honda Pilot eastbound on 33 when she drifted from the left lane into the right lane, which caused another driver to crash.

Hillary Senediak, 39, of 1473 Pepper Lane, Marysville, was driving a 2003 GMC Envoy in the right lane. She swerved to avoid the Honda Pilot, then lost control. Her vehicle went off the right side of the road, then went through a wire fence and struck a tree.

A passenger in Senediak's vehicle, Jocelyn Carter, 37, of 671 Deer Creek Drive, Marysville, suffered serious injuries.

Carter was transported from the scene by MedFlight to OSU Medical Center.

Senediak was transported to Dublin Methodist Hospital by Jerome Township.

Bichan-Abke and four children riding in her vehicle were not injured.

She was cited for a marked lanes violation.

The vehicles never collided.

The accident closed the eastbound lanes of 33 for about 30 minutes.
