The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol will be operating an OVI sobriety checkpoint to deter and intercept impaired drivers in Logan County Friday night in conjunction with the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
The checkpoint will be held north of Lakeview on State Route 235 from 10 pm to 2 am.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office, Russells Point Police Department, Washington Township Police Department, and Ohio Department of Transportation will be assisting with the checkpoint.
This checkpoint will be operated under federal grant funding.
Troopers are reminding those who plan to consume alcohol to also plan for a sober driver, or make other appropriate travel arrangements before drinking.
