A local driver was killed in a two-vehicle accident southeast of Kenton on County Road 155 just south of County Road 180 Friday afternoon around 12:30.
The Findlay Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Daniel Oates, 64, of Ridgeway, was driving a 2005 Chevy Aveo northbound on 155 when his vehicle was struck by a southbound 2000 Ford Explorer operated by Lori Humphrey, 49, of Rushsylvania.
Authorities report that Humphrey went left of center and struck the front left wheel of the Aveo, which caused Oates to lose control and drive off the left side of the road.
Oates, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected when his car rolled over.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Humphrey and her daughter, Destiny Wells, were not injured.
They were wearing their seat belts.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Kenton Fire Department, BKP Ambulance, Hardin County Coroner, and Montgomery County Coroner assisted at the scene.
It's the third fatal accident in Hardin County this year.
Troopers continue their investigation.
