A Dayton man is in custody in Auglaize County because of an undercover drug bust Tuesday night.
The Auglaize/Mercer County Grand Lake Drug Task Force set up a delivery of suspected heroin to the area yesterday.
Around 9 p.m. the suspected heroin worth about 3,000 dollars was delivered. When officers moved in to make an arrest, the suspect fled.
The pursuit went through Wapakoneta and northeastern Auglaize County. During the pursuit evidence was thrown from the suspect's car.
After losing the vehicle for a short time it was discovered behind the Speedway at St. Rt. 65 and I-75 in Allen County. The suspect, Adrian M. Trone (pictured), 23, from Dayton, was taken into custody inside the Speedway. Trone remains in the Auglaize County Jail.
Assisting in the arrest and pursuit were Allen County Sheriff's Office, Wapakoneta Police, Cridersville Police, Waynesfield Police, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon commented, "I hope with all of the drug arrests and all of the work from area agencies the drug problem in this area will decrease. We will continue to battle the problem."
