A Springfield man and a city woman were arrested following a disturbance near Moore's Cafe, 111 South Detroit Street, Friday morning around 12:20.
A deputy from the Logan County Sheriff's Office was driving on West Columbus Avenue when he heard shouting nearby.
The deputy saw Danyale Piersoll, 35, shove Amy Wilson, 43, of 1101 West Columbus Avenue, Apt. A, onto the pavement.
As the deputy activated his siren, Piersoll began to walk away and placed his hand in his pocket.
Piersoll was arrested and the deputy recovered a cell phone.
Wilson then became combative and grabbed Piersoll's wallet from the deputy.
Two Bellefontaine Police officers and another deputy arrived to assist.
While searching Piersoll, authorities found a baggie with eight rocks of crack cocaine and two cell phones. Police found over $700 cash inside Piersoll's wallet.
Piersoll was charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, felony assault, and disorderly conduct.
Wilson was charged with tampering with evidence, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest.
Both of them were lodged in the Logan County Jail early Friday.
