Bessie Dell Wilson, 96, of Belle Center, passed away Thursday evening, July 18, 2013 at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.
She was born in Paxton, Illinois on September 6, 1916 to the late Samuel M. and Ethel Mae (White) Strong, and moved to Ohio at the age of three.
On May 15, 1934 she married Paul A. Wilson in Huntsville, Ohio and he preceded her in death on May 2, 1996. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and a great-granddaughter Melody Jane Wilson and a great-great-grandchild.
Bessie was a 1934 graduate of Belle Center High School and was a member of the Lawrence Valley Grange for more than 50 years. She was a member of Belle Center United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at Hardin Memorial Hospital with the Sewing Guild. Bessie enjoyed baking, crocheting, crafts, gardening, and attending the Morning Circle meetings.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Ann Wilson of Kenton; two sons, Richard Wilson of Huntsville and James Wilson of Reidsville, NC; 7 grandchildren: Dennis Bradley, David Bradley, Deborah Redding, Halley Wilson, Rebecca Wilson, James Wilson, and John Wilson; numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
