William Douglas Beach, 64, of Russells Point, OH, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday evening, October 6, 2013 while at Mary Rutan Hospital Emergency Department, Bellefontaine, OH.
Doug was born on July 1, 1949 in Muncie, IN to the late Vernie and Virginia Coffin Beach. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Beach.
On November 6, 1976, he married the former Jacqueline Fogt at the Botkins United Methodist Church, and she survives along with three daughters, Renee Beach and Angela (Richard) Epperson, both of Louisville, KY, and Melissa (Joe) Perez of Russells Point, a stepson, Kevin (Kimberly) Carr of Anna, OH, seven grandchildren, Destiny & Kadie Henson, Brittney Epperson, Blake & Preston Wright, and Justin & Jacob Carr, two brothers, Ray Beach and Mark Beach, both of Russells Point, and many nieces and nephews.
Doug was a 1969 graduate of Delta High School in Indiana. He was a retired mechanic and formerly worked at Bud’s Marine, Major Marine, and Spend-A-Day Marina, all at Indian Lake, and Apple Farm Implements in Botkins, OH. He was a member of the 700 Club. He enjoyed working on muscle cars, especially his 1965 Mustang Convertible, attending car shows, and working with his hands. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and dog, Teddy.
Reverend Bryan Meadows will conduct a funeral service at 3:00 pm, Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview with visitation from 1-3. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery at a later date.
