Margaret Raye Shields, 52, of Bellefontaine, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.
She was born February 13, 1961 in Bellefontaine to Ronald “Jack” and Donna (Nelson) Robinson, whom survives in Bellefontaine.
On August 22, 1981 she married Robert Gene Shields in Rushsylvania and he survives along with their children, Megan (Bryan) Ropp of Xenia and Caleb Shields and his fiancé, Ellina Dovgopolaya, of Mt. Sterling; her sisters, Chris (Damon) Keller-Cockrel of Delaware, Ronda (Ernie) Pitchford of Ft. Worth, TX and Carol (Ron) Goings of West Liberty; two grandchildren, Calynn Renee and Kaden Matthew Ropp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Andy Alltop.
A 1979 Benjamin Logan High School graduate, Margaret worked at the Juvenile Court and was the Deputy Clerk at the Logan County Title Office. She was a member of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ where she served as the Church secretary for 14 years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, crafts, reading, and quilting.
The Pastor Lynn Cleaveland will officiate a 10:30 a.m. memorial service on Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Rushsylvania Church of Christ where friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2013. Burial will be in the Harper Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Rushsylvania Church of Christ Legacy Fund, P.O. Box 386, Rushsylvania, OH 43347 or to Universal Home Health and Hospice, 701 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
