Patricia C. “Pat” Ricketts, 86, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Heartland of Bellefontaine.
She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on June 20, 1927 to the late Henry Floyd and Anna Maude (Taylor) Smith.
On March 6, 1949 she married Milo A. Ricketts Jr., and he survives. She is also survived by her daughter Susan Ricketts of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sons, Ted Ricketts of Bellefontaine and Timothy (Renee) Ricketts of Napoleon, Ohio; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Jakeway and three brothers Lester, Taylor, and Gene Smith.
Pat was a member of the First Church of God in Bellefontaine where she had taught Sunday School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, knitting, and crocheting.
Rev. A. W. Purdin will officiate a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, November 16th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 31 West Whipp Road, Dayton, OH 45459.
