Robert E. Kindle, Sr.

Robert E. Kindle, Sr., 77, of Belle Center, OH, passed away Tuesday evening, January 14, 2014 at his home.

Bob was born on November 28, 1936 in Hardin County, OH to the late Jack Kindle and Effie Legge Kindle. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Kindle, grandson, Anthony Charles Kindle, and four brothers, Chuck, Elmer, Shorty, and Wayne.

On June 8, 1990, he married the former Jona Holly in Russells Point, OH and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Robert E. Kindle, Jr. of Belle Center, a daughter, Janet (Ron) Henderson of South Carolina, two step-children, David (Tammy) McKinney of Zanesfield, OH and Krystal (Kiah) Cain of Columbus, OH, five grandchildren, Robert E. (Amanda) Kindle, III, Autumn Taylor, Cory Taylor, Tommy (Jennifer) East, and Raymond East, five step-grandchildren, Owen Cain, Clara Cain, Cody McKinney, Austin (Hannah) Daugherty, and Brian (Casey) Daugherty, nine great grandchildren, three brothers, Jack Kindle of Jackson, GA, Mike (Pat) Kindle of Lewistown, OH, and Joe (Vicki) Kindle of Huntsville, OH, and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a retired diver of the United State Navy after 30 years of service and served in Vietnam. After retirement, he worked as a salvage diver at the Navy Ship Yard in Virginia. He was a life member of the Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39 in Lakeview. Bob enjoyed fishing, operating a CB radio, and watching NASCAR and WWE Pro Wrestling.

Reverend Scott Anderson will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 17, 2014 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview with visitation from 11-1. Burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty, OH with military honors performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contribution may be given to Universal Home Health and Hospice Care, 701 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, OH 43311.

Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Condolences may be expressed at www.shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
