K.C. Downing, 46, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 7:56 a.m. at his home.
He was born on June 12, 1965 in Bellefontaine a son of Richard D. and Marie (Anderson) Downing Sr. both of Bellefontaine.
On September 26, 1987 in Virginia, he married the former Joy Robinson and she survives along with daughters, Jane, Jessica and Beth Downing all of Bellefontaine; brothers, Timothy (Kathy) Downing of West Liberty, Rick Downing of Columbus, several nieces and nephews and his long time friend, Bob Hoffman of Columbus.
He worked at AGC, Bellefontaine as a Quality Specialist.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran who loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, spending time with his family and volunteering as an EMT with the Zanesfield Squad.
Pastor Ray Headings will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty with military rites by the Logan County Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to the Logan County Cancer Society, 205 Palmer Avenue, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311 or the American Cancer Society, Logan County Relay for Life, 2808 Reading Road Cincinnati, OH 45206.
