Howard H. Heminger, 95, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty.
He was born on September 15, 1916 in Mechanicsburg, OH to the late Harry Benjamin and Letha M. (Shibler) Heminger.
On January 30, 1937 he married Esther Mae Graham in Richmond, IN and she preceded him in death on March 15, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Robert Heminger, sisters Martha Norviel and Verna Roush, and daughter Norma Alspaugh.
Surviving are two sons, William (Naomi) Heminger and Larry (Doris) Heminger, both of West Liberty; two daughters, Shirley (Glenn) Strawser of Rushsylvania and Cheryl (Keith) Brautigam of Bellefontaine; his siblings, Herman (Jimmie) Heminger of Alexandria, LA, and Leo (Donna) Heminger of Bellefontaine; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
After 33 years of service, Howard retired in August of 1981 from Super Foods as a Retail Coordinator. A member of the Church of the Brethren, he was an avid Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan.
An 11:00 am graveside service is scheduled for Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Huntsville Cemetery with Pastor Fred Clogg officiating.
