Charles Grant Rinbolt, 83, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
He was born on March 12, 1929 in Briggsdale, OH to the late Burnett and Hazel (Helenthal) Rinbolt.
He was previously married to Grace Braden and she preceded him in death on February 29, 1992. A granddaughter, Abbygale Elaine Marie Rinbolt, also preceded him in death in 1999.
Surviving is his wife, Karen (Cloninger) Rinbolt, whom he married on June 13, 1993 in Bellefontaine. Also surviving are two sons, Dennis Rinbolt of Bellefontaine and Timothy (Julie) Cloninger of Rantoul, IL; two daughters, Cheryl (Nick) Frazier of West Mansfield and Sandra (Scott) Stockdale of Bellefontaine; a brother, Virgile (Lorane) Rinbolt of Connecticut; a sister, Jane Wells of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Anthony Queen, Adam Queen, Misty Yokley, Daniel Cloninger, Brice Parker, Alex Rinbolt, Brandon Frazier, Kelson Stockdale, Leevi Frazier, Zachary Stockdale, Melody Stockdale, Joshua Rinbolt, Kassidy Stockdale, Sebastion Rinbolt, and Lance and Wade Cloninger; and 14 great grandchildren.
He was a veteran with the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years. He worked for Acrux and Community Action Center. He was a lifetime member of the AmVets Post #105 and the V.F.W. #1040. He was a member of the Bellefontaine American Legion, Masonic Temple and the Antioch Shriner’s.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 26th from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Eichholtz Funeral Home where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate at an 11:00 am funeral service on Monday, August 27th. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery with military services by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
