Naomi June Birt, 86, of Rushsylvania, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, September 3, 2012.
One of nine children, she was born on November 8, 1925 in Rushsylvania to the late Russell and Mary (Ansley) Crisler.
On September 4, 1949 she married Kenneth W. Birt and he preceded her in death on September 26, 1995. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Daum; brothers, Welman, Wellington G., and Merlyn Crisler; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Birt.
Surviving are three sons, William (Debbie) Birt, Stephen (Angie) Birt and Carl (Trish) Birt; two daughters, Kathleen (Tommy) Bellomy and Jeanette (Chuck) Hildreth; her siblings, Charles Crisler and Esther Jones, Marlene Thompson, and Mary Lou Harden; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Crisler, Mary Kay Crisler, and Nancy Crisler; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, especially, Rebecca and Jennifer Crisler.
A 1943 graduate of Rushsylvania High School, June was a homemaker, a lifelong active member of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ, and the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother ever. Besides her family, she also enjoyed music, gardening, reading, NBA basketball, and giving to various Christian missions. June had a sense of humor and a love for Jesus.
Pastor Lynn Cleaveland will officiate at an 11:00 am funeral service on Friday, September 7th at the Rushsylvania Church of Christ where friends may call on Thursday, September 6th from 5 to 8. Burial will be in the Rushsylvania Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Logan County Weekday Religious Education.
