Julius "Abe" Pearson, 85, of Bellefontaine, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 5, 2012.
He was born September 13, 1926 in Bloomfield, Indiana the son of Julius and Nancy (Love) Pearson. Mr. Pearson retired from Conrail Railroad and was a US Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School, served as Deacon, and spent many hours visiting shut-ins.
Survivors include his wife Virginia L. of 63 years; daughters and sons-in-law Julia & (William) Armstrong, Lorry Mellen and (Larry Pool); sons and daughters-in-law Robert & (Mary) Pearson, Larry & (Deena) Pearson; sisters Martha Bechtel, Gladys Inman, Anna Belle Burcham, Gay Blottie; brothers Rex and Richard Pearson; grandchildren Matthew, John and Steven Armstrong, Andy (McKenzie) Mellen, Courtney (Sam) Peck, Abigail Pearson; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-7 pm Friday at Jennings Farley Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 10:30 am Saturday. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
