Anthony Deon “Tony” Haynes

Anthony Deon “Tony” Haynes, 45, of Lewistown, passed away Monday evening, October 15, 2012 while in the Mary Rutan Hospital Emergency Room, Bellefontaine, OH.

Tony was born on July 3, 1967 in Urbana, OH, the son of Chuck and Donna Yeasel Haynes of Lewistown, and Bill and Karen Nott of Cable, OH. On November 14, 1998, he married the former Julie Palmer at the Indian Lake Community Church in Russells Point, OH and she survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Justin and Chris Haynes, both at home, four sisters, Jackie (Mikel) Shoffner of Lakeview, OH, Carla Neimeyer of Mechanicsburg, OH, Heidi (David) Arthur of Marysville, OH, and Lizia Brown of Woodstock, OH, two brothers, Bill (Janet Renee) Haynes of Russells Point, and Toby Nott of Cable, father-in-law, Donald Palmer of Lakeview, mother-in-law, Sandra Palmer of Russells Point, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tony was a 1985 graduate of Indian Lake High School and attended summers at Culver Military Academy in Culver, IN, where he earned his pilots license. He also attended Hocking College and Wilmington College. He was an excavator by trade as he loved moving earth and digging dirt, and worked for several excavating companies including, Herman McBride in Jackson Center, OH, RD Jones in Alger, OH, Trucco Construction in Delaware, OH and Levan’s Excavating in West Liberty, OH. He was a member of Sons of Amvets Post #39, Lakeview. Tony enjoyed traveling to Alaska, riding dirt bikes with his sons and spending time with his family. He was a true people person who did not know a stranger.

Reverend Bryan Meadows will conduct funeral services at 7:00 pm, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview with visitation from 4-7 pm.

Memorial contributions may be given to his family.

Arrangements are in the care of Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Condolences may be expressed at www.shoffstallfuneralhome.com.
