Bobby G. Williams, 82, of West Liberty, went home to spend Christmas with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born on August 31, 1930 in West Liberty, Ohio, a son of the late William McKinley and Esta Louise (Detwiler) Williams. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Paul Williams and a sister, Mary Ann Williams.
On February 14, 1990 in Bellefontaine he married the former Helen Joyce Burnside and she survives along with a daughter, Melody (Kent) Fullerton of Bellefontaine; a son, Greg (Tina) Williams of Bellefontaine; 5 grandchildren, Shaun McCafferty, Luke Williams, Autumn Popp, Adam and Zane Fullerton; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Esther (Ray) Stokes of West Mansfield; brothers, Jerry (Kay) Williams of Ovieda, Florida and Dan (Bea) Williams of West Liberty and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was a pressman at Merchants Industries for over 30 years.
An Army veteran, he was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. He loved to bake and was famous for his pork and bean bread at Green Hills Community and enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Pastor David Hernandez will officiate a funeral on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Kauffman-Eichholtz Funeral Home, West Liberty where friends may call on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty. Military rites will be held at the cemetery by the Logan County Honor Guard.
