Minnie Pearl McClain, 69, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Mary Rutan Hospital. She was born in Bellefontaine on October 9, 1943 and married Edward T. McClain on February 6, 1963 in Bryan, Ohio and he survives in Bellefontaine. She was preceded in death by her father Clay Wade Ross, mother Doris Garman Herren, and a half-brother Rex R. Ross.
Minnie is also survived by three children: Icy (Roger) Collett of Bellefontaine, Timothy (Annabelle) McClain of Rushsylvania and Coriene (Mike Cox) Ilse of Bellefontaine; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a special friend Mary Davis of Harper.
Minnie tended bar at Moore’s Café and the Palm Grill for 22 years before retiring in 1998. She loved flowers, playing music and was formerly in a Blue Grass Gospel Band. Minnie also enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 1:30PM with Rev. Frank McCollough officiating, where friends may call from 11:30AM-1:30PM. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
Minnie had requested that all that attend the services please come dressed casual.
