George leads Jr. Chiefs past Tecumseh - Basketball Scoreboard

Several area Jr. High basketball teams hit the court Monday night.

Boys finals:

The Bellefontaine 8th grade edged host Tecumseh 46-44.

Spencer George scored a game-high 23 points, including two free throws with less than a minute remaining to break the tie.

Cameron Mitchell added 8.

The Chiefs are 3-0. They will travel to Lima Shawnee tonight.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade team fell to Tecumseh 35-17.

Jack Clement had 9 points and Aaron Malarkey added 4.

Bellefontaine is 0-3.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade beat Indian Valley 38-34.

Presten Cozad poured in 14 points, Jake Henman scored 8, Grant Ward had 7, and Daniel McPherson added 6.

The Raiders (3-0) will host Springfield Shawnee on Wednesday.

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade shot past Indian Valley 33-22.

Eight players scored for the Raiders.

Cole Jones and Nolan Robson each had 6 points. Jayden Skidmore added 4 points.

The Raiders are 3-0.

The Indian Lake 8th grade outscored Northwestern 43-31.

Collin Coburn led all scorers with 18.

Kaleb Weirick had 9 points, Kale Shoffner tossed in 8, Bill Horne had 4, and Cameron Chamberlin and Kameron Mathison each added 2.

The Lakers (3-1) will visit Tipp City on Thursday.

Girls finals:

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade handled Indian Valley 43-18.

Nikki Current poured in 28, Jazi Reisinger scored 7, Stevie Plikerd had 6, and Mackenzie McManus added 2.

The Raiders are 3-1.

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade team defeated Indian Valley 24-18 for their first win of the season.

LeeAnn Regula had 10 points, Olivia Roose scored 6, Haley Wilson recorded 4 points, and Pamela Kelly and Grace Deardurff each added 2.

The Lady Raiders will travel to Springfield Shawnee on Wednesday.

The Bellefontaine 8th grade lost to Tecumseh 34-23.

Dreona Hughes had 8 points.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade team fell to the Arrows 45-16.

Anne West had 12 points.

The Lady Chiefs will host Lima Shawnee tonight.
