Jr. Chiefs dominate wrestling invitational; Predmore leads Tigers

The Bellefontaine middle school wrestling team won the Aqua Falls Invitational on Saturday.

The Chiefs won the 14-team tournament by 40 points with 257 points and 11 placers.

Phil Francis (134) and Braden Jacobs (245) each won their weight class, while Dawson Miller (150) and Major Stratton (142) both came in second.

Placing third were Dezmin Lyburtus (116), Chase Schmittauer (128), and Austin McIntosh (205).

Dalton Gulasa (80), Wesley Frilling (98), Trey Henderson (122), and Bruno Pattison (172) finished fourth.

The West Liberty-Salem middle school wrestling team competed at the same tournament.

Garrett Predmore went 3-2 with two pins.

The Tigers next match is at Bellefontaine High School Thursday.
