Lady Tigers rally past Urbana – Basketball finals

Many local basketball teams played Monday night.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls rallied past Urbana 44-33.

The Tigers outscored the hosts 30-18 in the second half.

Sydney Eggleston had 9 points, Jamie Peterson grabbed 20 rebounds, and Madison Oelker delivered 9 assists.

For Urbana, Taylor Russell poured in 12 points with 4 three-pointers.

WLS is 8-7; Urbana is 3-13.

The JV Tigers lost 37-28.

Abigail Rabenstein scored 11 points.

The Indian Lake varsity girls outscored visiting Botkins 64-54.

Haley Boberg had 24 points.

The Lakers are 5-10.

Jr. High:

The Bellefontaine 8th grade girls handled Indian Lake 46-16.

Emily Mitchell had 12 points, Zoe Price tossed in 10 points, and Lindsay Stevenson added 6 points.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade girls beat Indian Lake 41-27.

Aubrey Stolly scored 18, Anne West poured in 14, and Chalony Tolliver added 4.

The Lady Chiefs will host Northridge Thursday at 5:30.

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls trounced Triad 39-13.

The Tigers are 14-0.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade girls lost to Triad 13-12.

The Bellefontaine 8th grade boys edged Indian Lake 34-31.

Spencer George had 14 points and Tommy Belser added 11.

For Indian Lake, Collin Coburn scored 12, Kaleb Weirick dropped in 10, and Kale Shoffner added 9.

The Chiefs are 6-3; the Lakers are 6-5.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade boys nipped Indian Lake 28-26.

Jack Clement led all scorers with 15 points, Colby Henry tallied 6 points, and Aaron Malarkey added 4 points.

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade boys fell to Triad 46-41.

James Loffing had 17 points and Max Eggleston added 10.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade boys defeated Triad 42-30.

Desmond Glunt scored 14 points.

The Tigers will host Greeneview on Thursday.
