Updated: Middle School basketball roundup—Lady Tigers 8th graders stay perfect

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls basketball team improved to 15-0 Wednesday night by defeating Southeastern 38-6. A balanced offense and aggressive defense kept their record perfect.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers lost to the Trojans 18-15. Peyton Kerns and Maddie Estes each had 5 points. The seventh grade is 8-7. Both teams play at Greeneview Thursday.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade girls handed Upper Scioto Valley their first loss of the season 52-31. Nikki Current had 18 points and 15 assists, Jazi Reisinger tossed in 14 points, Kinzie Jones recorded 8 points and 11 rebounds, Stevie Plikerd scored 6, Mackenzie McManus had 4 points, and Haley Wilson added 2 points. The Raiders are 11-1 and will host Indian Lake Thursday.

There was no 7th grade game due to injuries and lack of numbers from USV.

Benjamin Logan's 8th grade boys lost to Upper Scioto Valley. Grant Ward had 18 points, Presten Cozad 7, and Jake Henman added 5.

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade boys suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of USV 33-23. Jayden Skidmore led the Raiders with 9 points.

The Indian Lake 8th grade boys defeated Northridge 46-35. Collin Coburn led the team with 18 points, Kaleb Wierick had 16, and Kale Shoffner chipped in 9. The Lakers are 7-5 on the season.
