Two local dance teams competed over the weekend.
Razz-M-Tazz (pictured left) competed in the Twirling Unlimited Competition in Ida, Michigan.
Katie Hartsel and Kierstin Diener took home first place in the freestyle duet.
Tesia Deardurff captured first place in color guard and baton solo.
Top-5 winners included: Abby Clay (color guard solo), Tara Deardurff (color guard solo), Haley Phillips (color guard solo), Hartsel (freestyle and fancy strut), and Diener (freestyle, baton solo, and three-baton solo).
Ashley Harris was a first-time competitor.
Diener delivered a no drop solo and freestyle event.
The team will compete again at the Walt Disney World's Twirl Mania.
Razz-M-Tazz is coached by Dana Burton, Lucretia Grogan, and Kathy Watkins.
Marysville's In Step Dance Center competed against the famous Abby Lee Dance Company from the TV show ‘Dance Moms’.
