The Riverside powerlifting team recently competed in two meets.
Several lifters placed at the Kenton Regional meet.
Ashtyn Defibaugh placed 3rd in the 115lbs class, Caitlin Pepper was 3rd in the 145lbs class, Ashton Wooddell was 3rd in the 155lbs class, Alexa Klingler was 5th in the 155lbs class, Cody Roby placed 5th in the 135lbs class, and Collin Harbour was 8th in the 210lbs class.
Members of the team also competed in the Drug Free Powerlifting Federation High School Nationals held in Springfield.
Ashton Wooddell placed 1st in the 70kilo raw division. She broke the bench press, deadlift, and total records for the 14-15yr old division.
Cheritha Schaffer and Dana Bell were invited to compete as guest lifters.
Schaffer broke the national raw record in the deadlift, bench press, and total in the 63kilo 19-23yr old division.
Bell broke the national raw record for squat, bench press, deadlift, and total in the 70kilo 19-23yr old class.
Cheritha Schaffer and Mason Harbour will be competing on Sunday, March 2nd in Columbus at the Arnold Classic. They will compete in the USAPL Ohio Classic. Only 30 lifters from Ohio are chosen for this event. These lifters are the top 30 USAPL lifters in the state.
The Riverside powerlifting team will travel to Bradford next weekend to compete in the Bradford Invitational.
