The Carroll Patriots used a swarming defense to stifle the Indian Lake Lakers Wednesday night at Springfield High School. The Lakers were jumped on early as Carroll darted out to a 22-7 first quarter lead and the game was never in doubt as the Patriots posted a 64-52 victory.
Xander Smart outscored the Lakers himself in the first half tallying 21 points in the first 16:00 while the Lakers had 19 at the break.
Christian Grider paced Indian Lake with 25 points (14 in the first half) and was named the Steve Austin's Auto Group Player of the Game.
The Lakers finish their season at (12-12). Carroll will face Shawnee Saturday night in the Sectional Final.
The Riverside Pirates fell to Ft. Loramie in the Division IV sectional at Piqua 53-29.
