Wenger leads Benjamin Logan bowlers at state

Benjamin Logan bowling teamThe Benjamin Logan boys bowling team finished 12th at the Division II state tournament Friday at Wayne's Webb Columbus Bowl.

The Raiders had a team tally of 3,076.

Sixteen teams competed in the meet.

The top eight scores advanced to a head-to-head tournament to determine the state champion.

Warren Champion defeated Struthers in the championship round.

Coldwater finished third, Versailles was fourth, and Jonathan Alder came in fifth.

Sophomore Logan Wenger led Benjamin Logan with games of 170, 217, and 184 for a 571 series.

Mitchel Johnson tossed a 550, Wes Brown rolled a 525, Josh Wiley shot a 443, and Tristin Harshfield added a 180 game.

Urbana finished 10th with a 3,251.

Daniel Evilsizor led the Hillclimbers with a 564 series, Luc Russell shot a 558, Kyle Schrader recorded a 541, Skyler Reisinger fired a 534, and Conner Prince rolled a 514.

West Liberty-Salem senior Phil Davis qualified as an individual. He fired games of 153, 179, and 186 for a 518 series.
