Tigers win slugfest; Raiders roll

Several high school baseball and softball teams played Tuesday.

Varsity baseball:

West Liberty-Salem outscored host Triad 16-9.

The Tigers scored 7 runs in the top of the seventh inning to break a 9-9 tie.

Spencer Whitcraft earned the win in relief.

Trent Thomas had two hits and three RBIs.

Cole Wilson recorded two hits and five steals.

The Tigers are 1-1.

Benjamin Logan dominated visiting Lima Perry 16-1 in five innings.

Brady Bechtel fired a two-hitter.

Todd Coleman had two hits and drove in four runs.

Coleman, Tyler Tevis, and Tristin Harshfield each belted a double.

The Raiders are 2-0.

Riverside handled visiting Lima Temple Christian 19-2 in five innings.

Sophomore Dakota Bollinger tossed a complete game.

Hunter Kreglow led the attack with two hits and two RBIs.

Landon Kelsey added two hits.

The Pirates are 2-0.

Upper Scioto Valley edged Waynesfield-Goshen 14-13 in eight innings.

Chance Watkins hit for the cycle in the win.

The Bellefontaine freshman baseball team outscored Wapakoneta 8-7.

Melech Hutchison drove in the go-ahead run.

Hayes Roebuck and Ryan Sebring each had two hits.

Varsity softball:

Benjamin Logan rallied past Riverside 9-7.

The Pirates jumped out to a 7-0 lead.

Kate Campbell earned the win.

Campbell had a triple and two RBIs.

Taylor Coy drove in two runs.

Taylor Quay added two hits and an RBI.

The Raiders are 1-1; the Pirates are 0-2.

Indian Lake beat host Versailles 6-3.

Tori Lones tossed a complete game with six Ks.

Kylie Speicher had two hits, including a two-run double.

The Lakers will visit Botkins on Thursday.

Bellefontaine fell to Lima Shawnee 10-3.

Starter Haley Bryson suffered the loss.

Jazmyn Haley and Carley Strzalka each had two hits.

Center fielder Macy Neff had six put-outs and an assist.
