Benjamin Logan fares well at Jr. Chieftain Relays

The Benjamin Logan Jr. High girls track team finished 4th at the Jr. Chieftain Relays at Dodd Stadium Friday night with 54 points.

It was the first meet of the season for the Raiders.

Benjamin Logan won the 4x200m relay. Peyton Kinney, Pamela Kelly, Stevie Plikerd, and Nikki Current ran the relay.

The same 4 girls finished 4th in the 4x400m relay.

Katelyn Shellenberger and Brooke Cotner were 2nd in shot put.

The sprint medley team of Pamela Kelly, Stevie Plikerd, Tayler Bryant, and Nikki Current was 2nd.

Madison Manns and Macy Arn were 3rd in high jump.

Madison Manns and Mackenzie McManus were 4th in long jump.

The 4x800m relay team of Katie Meier, Catherine Rhodes, Maddie Bechtel, and Macy Arn was 5th.

The 4x100m relay team of Sarah VanDyke, Mei Carmer, Tayler Bryant, and Mackenzie McManus was 6th.

The girls run at home on Wednesday.

The Benjamin Logan Jr. High boys track team finished in 5th place at the Jr. Chieftain Relays with 47 points Friday.

Finishing first for the team was the 1600 sprint medley relay of Curtis Gadson, Preston Cozad, Jake Henman, and Nolan Robson in 4:39.

Finishing second for the team was the high jump relay of Nolan Robson and Jake Henman in 9’2”.

Finishing third for the team were the 4x200 relay of Curtis Gadson, Preston Cozad, Derek Coy, and Devin Coy in 1:59.7 and the shuttle hurdles relay of Christian Blumenshein, Zane Scheiderer, Ray McCormick, and Nathan Coffield in 1:25.

Finishing fourth for the team was the 800 sprint relay team of Zach Burton, Jacob Creamer, Parker Bensman, and Nathan Coffield in 2:10.

Finishing fifth for the team were the 4x400 relay team of Jake Henman, Nathan Coffield, Nolan Robson, and Daniel McPherson in 4:59 and the shot put relay of Mason Straker and Jacob Creamer in 55’11”.

Finishing sixth for the team was the 4x800 relay of Daniel McPherson, Mason Straker, Zane Scheiderer, and Christian Blumenschein in 12:04.

Finishing eighth of the team was the long jump relay team of Parker Bensman and Zach Burton with a distance of 18’8”.
