West Liberty wins coach pitch tournament – Youth finals

Mad River Knife & Supply West Liberty/Mad River Knife & Supply captured the Logan County Coach Pitch Preseason Tournament in DeGraff over the weekend.

West Liberty defeated Zanesfield 3 (23-7), Belle Center 2 (24-14), East Liberty 1 (24-14), Huntsville 2 (20-19), and Lakeview 1 (10-5).

Huntsville #2 Woody's Diner came in 4th place in the same tournament.

Huntsville defeated Quincy 20-19 with a two-out hit in the last inning by Alex Schaub.

Huntsville then outscored Belle Center 21-5.

Huntsville lost to West Liberty 20-19 and Zanesfield 16-11.

Huntsville was led offensively by Dawson Finfrock, Camdon Tuttle, and Ryan Culp.

West Liberty T-Ball League:

Keith's Kuts & Kurls defeated Storm Trucking 18-16. For Keith's Kuts & Kurls, Garrett Hull was 3-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs, Zander Gluckle was 3-3 with a double and 4 RBIs, Aiden Hull was 2-2 with a double and 2 RBIs. Bayse Lapp, Kaylee Powell, and Alivia Campbell all went 3-3.

West Liberty Lion's Club knocked off Choice Properties 16-12. For Choice Properties, Madden Kilgore was 3-3 with 3 RBIs and Lance Campbell was 3-3 with home run and 3 RBIs.

West Liberty Shell beat Sertell Chiropractic 17-7. For Shell, Sutton Wilcoxon had a home run and Naaman Stidham added a triple.

For Sertell Chiropractic, Dane Reames, Eli Sertell, and Isaac Sertell all hit a coach-pitched ball for a single.
