Shady Bowl Speedway hosted one of the biggest Dwarf car races of the season with the running of the Bill Hostetler Classic Saturday night.
Hostetler and the late Max Evans were the driving force to bring dwarf cars to the raceway.
The race went off with no major crashes and the winner was Brandon Bayse, with Hostetler’s grandson Daniel Wirick second, and Greg Sparks third.
The top three finishers in Late Model action were Josh Smith, Jacob Muncy, and John Stroble.
The Modified feature saw Mike Carroll win the race, Brad Williams was second, with Shane Shirk third.
In Street Stocks the feature race was won by Dave Sage, with Rodney Roush second and Ray Muncy third.
The Tuners race had Gary Eaton Jr. winning, Terry Eaton Jr. second, and Ron Masters third.
There will no racing at Shady Bowl this Saturday, with the next scheduled racing to be Saturday, July 12th.
At Waynesfield Raceway Park Saturday night the AMSA Mini Sprints race was won by Rod Henning. Chase Dunham was second with Gary Campbell third.
In Non Wing Sprints action, Mike Miller was the winner, Matt Westfall runner-up, and Cooper Clouse finished third.
The Modified race was won by Brian Post, with Casey Luedeke second, and Josh Morton third.
In Compacts racing David Yoder was the winner, Justin Durflinger second, and third was Jordan Iiams.
The Tough Trucks race was won by Mike Sawmiller. Chris Hicks came in second with Roy Miller third.
Racing returns to Waynesfield Raceway Thursday night, July 3rd with the Third Annual Bob Reynolds Memorial. There will also be racing on Saturday night.
