Updated: Bellefontaine blasts Greenon (HS BB scoreboard)

In HS boys basketball Tuesday Bellefontaine continued their winning ways with an 82-31 rout of visiting Greenon.

The Chiefs are 9-1 overall and 5-0 in the CBC.

Botkins defeated Riverside 56-49.

Trey Helmlinger led the Pirates with 16 points while Hank Harshbarger chipped in 10.

The JV game saw Botkins edge Riverside 31-29.

West Liberty-Salem evened their OHC record at 3-3 with a 53-41 victory over Cedarville.

Trevor Burden led the Tigers with 16 points while Dillon Callicoat had 13 and Max Eggleston was also in double figures with 12 points.

WL-S, now 7-4 overall, will play at Greeneview Friday night.

In the JV contest it was West Liberty-Salem 57 Cedarville 25.

Tyler Jones, Eli McGill, and Alex Fitzpatrick each scored 11 points.

Greeneview was better than Triad 60-53.

Hadley LeVan led the Cardinals with 24 points.

Triad falls to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the OHC.

In the JV game Greeneview defeated Triad 36-20.

Triad won in freshman action over Greeneview 32-30.

Tate Campbell led the Cards with 12 points.

It was Tecumseh over Indian Lake in OT 74-73.

In the JV contest it was Indian Lake 48 Tecumseh 44.

Bryce Ramsey led the Lakers with 22 points.

Brayden Allen added 8 points.

The Calvary Christian varsity boys fell at Grand Lake Christian 63-51.

Andrew Reinhard had 14 points.

Tyler Reinhard recorded 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Grant Criner tossed in 8 points.

The Spartans (6-2) will face Sidney Christian on Friday.

In JH boys BB action Tuesday Riverside 7th grade won a thriller over Waynesfield-Goshen 32-30.

Zack Armbruster had 9 points.

Jayden Burchett and Brody Rhoads each scored 6 points.

Andan Short tossed in 5 points.

Andrew Thacker had 4 points.

Dylan Smith added 2 points.

The Pirates are 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the NWCC.

The 8th grade Pirates won 48-27 over Waynesfield-Goshen.

Kayden Burk had 17 points.

Kale Long scored 14.

Ethan Jackson recorded 9 points.

John Zumberger dropped in 4 points.

Brycen Caudill and Zack Armbruster each added 2 points.

Riverside's 8th grade boys evened their record at 4-4 overall (3-1 NWCC).

Both teams travel to Fairlawn this Saturday.

In 7th grade girls BB it was Riverside 39 Waynesfield-Goshen 27.

The game was tied at halftime, but Riverside came out strong in the third quarter and took control of the game and never let up.

Olivia Perk had 16 points.

Kirstin Schlumbohm and Kara Kauffman each scored 7 points.

In 8th grade girls action Riverside edged Waynesfield-Goshen 47-43 in overtime.

The game went into overtime after Macie Manahan knocked down 2 free throws to tie the game.

Riverside was down at halftime 22-16.

Lauryn Sanford had 24 points.

Macie Manahan added 11 points.

Hailee Harshbarger stepped up on defense and got numerous steals for the Lady Pirates.
