Updated: Pirates fall to Miami East, Lady Tigers double Southeastern – Saturday basketball

In Saturday basketball action, the Riverside varsity boys fell to Miami East 53-43.

Lane Willoby was the top Pirate with 14 points. Kyle Knight added 11.

Riverside JV was downed 52-15.

Trevor Young posted 7 points.

The varsity record is now 4-5 and 2-0 in NWCC play.

The Indian Lake varsity boys were defeated by Fairlawn 55-49.

Kale Shoffner scored 15 points. Collin Coburn put 14 on the board.

Indian Lake won the JV game 42 to Fairlawn's 37.

Ethan Parker had 13 points with Chris Murphy adding 9.

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls outscored Indian Lake 60-36.

Nikki Current led scorers with 33 points. Nya Worrell tallied 13 points.

A closer game on the JV side, with the Raiders having the 26-19.

Tori Miller was the leading scorer at 8 points.

BL varsity is now 9-5 and 4-2 in CBC play.

Their next game is Wednesday at home against Mechanicsburg.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls doubled over their Southeastern opponents, 60-27.

Taylor Lauck tallied 17 points in the win. Gabby Hollar and Kelsey Day added 10 points each. Selena Weaver added 8 points.

The Lady Tigers also took the JV game, 38-23.

Mya King added 11 points.

The West Liberty-Salem 6th grade boys lost 46-23 to Springfield Christian.

Owen Deere had 9 points. Dylan Wing had 7.

The 6th grade also lost to Southeastern 39-5

Cody Crawford had 3 points.

5th grade lost 23-22 to Southeastern .

Isaiah Reames posted 10 points. Jack Bahan and Hunter Knotts each added 4 points.

4th grade defeated Southeastern 38-3.

Brevin Louden 14 points. Carson Poppe and Sam Strapp each added 6 points.

Their next game is January 13th at home against Urbana.
