County Little League tournament underway - youth finals

The Logan County Little League Tournament opened last night in Zanesfield.

West Liberty #1 Thompson, Dunlap, and Heydinger defeated Washington 13-6.

West Liberty took control with a ten-run third inning.

Thomas Loffing paced the offense with two hits, three RBI's, and two runs.

Mat Prince was 2-for-2 and Trevor Burden recorded a hit and three RBI's.

Burden, Braden Miller, and Jacob Van Horn shared the pitching duties.

For Washington, Luke Roby had two hits and two runs while Brice Hyder belted a double and drove in two runs.

Bellefontaine #1 Maple Leaf edged East Liberty Middleburg 8-7.

Nicklaus Lyons was the winning pitcher and had a double.

Jaydric Clifton smacked a triple, Major Stratton had a double, and Dawson Miller and Owen O'Connor each had two hits.

For East Liberty Middleburg, Hardman belted a three-run double.

T-Ball:

West Liberty #2 B.O.S.S. fell to Zanesfield #1 20-18.

For West Liberty, Reese Oder, Carissa Cozad, Dillan Maurice, Lauren Kimball, Jack Bahan, and Shayna Hurst each went 3-for-3.

Evan Casto added two hits.

Washington #2 Jackson's Auction beat Quincy #1.

Lacey Schwieterman had three doubles, Abigail Elliott recorded three hits with two doubles, and Kaitlyn Shaner and Airiana Young went 3-for-3.

Leland Knotts and Kyra Neeley shined on defense.

Lakeview #1 Stanley's Asphalt Sealcoating beat DeGraff #1 25-11 in their final game of the regular season.

Landen Wisener, Burke Lillard, Madden Lillard, KaiLea Miller, and Czar Dickson each went 3-for-3.

Wisener belted a grand slam.

Lakeview went 7-1 this summer.

Coach Pitch:

Washington outscored Quincy 18-7.

Nathan Worrell had a pair of triples and Brant Parsell was 3-for-3.

Chase McMillen and Jon Henry led the defense.

Lakeview #1 Robinson's Asphalt Sealcoating ran past DeGraff #1 27-12 to wrap up their regular season.

Noah Steed had three hits with a home run, Reid Vance recorded two hits with a home run, Elden Stevens was 4-for-4 with a triple, Gavin Lones tallied three hits with a triple, and Lukas Wisener had two hits with a double.

Lakeview finished the season 5-2.
