Updated: Woody's Diner T-ball completes perfect season, open tournament with win - youth baseball scoreboard

West Liberty 2 defeated Zanesfield 6-1 in a Pony League game Saturday.

Ethan McBean and Ben Hyland combined to strike out 17 batters in the win.

Logan Brown was 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, McBean was 2-3 with a double, and Jarrett Meeker recorded a hit, a run, and an RBI.

Burk singled and scored a run for Zanesfield.

Junior ACME

The Bellefontaine Merchants won three games over the weekend in a round robin tournament at Blue Jacket Park.

In the first game, Bellefontaine beat Beavercreek 10-5.

Joe Oliver picked up the win with six strikeouts. Colton DeMent earned the save.

Clay Russell had two hits and four RBI, Gauge Hayman recorded two hits and two RBI, and DeMent added a triple.

Bellefontaine defeated Dublin Coffman 7-1.

John Kirby fired a three-hitter with three strikeouts.

Kirby drove in two runs and Caleib Johnson belted a triple.

Bellefontaine outscored Centerville 10-4.

DeMent was the winning pitcher with five Ks.

Kyle Brunner pitched the final two innings and recorded three strikeouts.

Hayman was 3-for-3 with a triple, Johnson tallied two hits with a double and two RBI, and Lane Kiser had two hits with a triple.

Bellefontaine is 9-6. They will host Piqua Monday night at seven o'clock.

Little League

West Liberty #1 Thompson, Dunlap, & Heydinger blanked Bellefontaine #1 15-0.

Mat Prince did not allow a hit in three innings pitched.

James Loffing had three hits and three RBI, Jacob Van Horn tallied two hits and scored three runs, and Levi Moell doubled and scored.

Nick Lyons had Bellefontaine's only hit.

Bellefontaine #4 Dairy Queen defeated Bellefontaine #2 Thompson Electric 13-12 in eight innings.

Phil Francis was the winning pitcher and Jack Clement tripled for the winners.

For Thompson Electric, Reed Gleason was 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and Crew Fullerton was 3-for-5 with a double.

T-ball

Huntsville #2 Woody's Diner (pictured) completed an undefeated regular season (8-0) with a 22-13 win against Ridgemont #2 on Friday.

Avery Pequignot, Grant McPherson, Ryan Culp, Chase Schaub, Tori Roby, and Dawson Finfrock were all 3-for-3.

Griffin Schaub, Reagan McPheron, and Svea Martini were all 2-for-2. Tyler Tidwell and Owen Pummel contributed with solid performances as last batters.

On Saturday, Huntsville #2 opened the Logan County postseason tournament with a 23-10 win over West Liberty #4 Fran’s Mowing.

Chase Schaub led the way for Woody’s with three hits, including 2 home runs; Avery Pequignot, Grant McPherson, Cameron Finfrock, Ryan Culp, Tori Roby, and Dawson Finfrock had three hits each; and Owen Pummel had two hits with a home run.

Peyton Hull led Fran's with three hits, including two doubles and four RBI. Aaron Campbell added three doubles and an RBI, Carson Instine added two hits and two RBI, and Faith Instine recorded three hits.

West Liberty 4 (Fran's Mowing) tied their regular season finale on Friday.

Fran's tied Rushsylvania 1 19-19.

Faith Instine had three hits with two doubles and two RBI; Peyton Hull was 3-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBI; and Aaron Campbell, Colton Gaidusek, and Cooper Titus each had three hits.

Fran's finished the regular season 3-4-1.

West Liberty #2 B.O.S.S. closed their regular season against Belle Center #4.

For West Liberty, Carissa Cozad, Lauren Kimball, and Jack Bahan each went 3-for-3.

Evan Fullenkamp belted a triple.

Farm League

A&E Camping edged Lee's Roofing 3-2.

Cameron Pulfer and Alex Pulfer combined for 11 strikeouts.

Pulfer, Hunter Warner, and Dylan Welch each had two hits.

Tanner Wical and Robbie Wildermuth shined on defense.

For Lee's, Cameron Kline had two doubles.

All-Around Awards ran past Levan's Power Equipment 16-1.

Brady Burden was the winning pitcher.

Brian Bush had a triple and three RBI, Jaeden Campbell smacked a double, and Simon Stolly scored three runs.

For Levan's, Derek Levan had two hits.

All-Around Awards finished the regular season 11-3.
