
West Liberty Thompson, Dunlap, & Heydinger was crowned the Logan County Little League Champion Friday in Zanesfield.
West Liberty (pictured left) defeated Huntsville RJF Holdings 26-5 in 4 innings.
The two teams met earlier in the tournament and West Liberty edged Huntsville 8-6.
Thompson, Dunlap, & Heydinger members are Levi Moell, Jacob Van Horn, Mat Prince, James Loffing, Devin Clark, Thomas Loffing, Trevor Burden, Braden Miller, Tyler Motzko, and Cody Thurman. The coaches are Chris Moell, Dan Prince, Dan Miller, and Bruce Thurman.

Runner-up RJF Holdings (pictured right) members are Clay Jacobs, Aaron Malarkey, Kale Shoffner, Trey Lones, Tyler Thomas, Bryce Ramsey, Caleb Taylor, Noah Hurley, Jacob Zarnosky, Collin Powers, Hunter Phillips, David Haley, Johnny Golden, and Collin Coburn. Huntsville coaches are Cale Jacobs, Travis Taylor, Rick Powers, Kevin Malarkey, Matt Zarnosky, and Dave Coburn.

For West Liberty, James Loffing and Prince combined for 6 strikeouts, James Loffing ripped a home run, double, and 6 RBIs, Levi Moell belted a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 RBIs, Jacob Van Horn tripled and produced 2 RBIs, Braden Miller tripled, delivered 2 RBIs, and scored a run stealing home, Price doubled and had 2 RBIs, and Trevor Burden and Tyler Motzko each added 2 RBIs.
For Huntsville, Kale Shoffner, Aaron Malarkey, and Noah Hurley combined for 3 strikeouts, Shoffner ripped a 2 RBI-double, Clay Jacobs and Malarkey each scored 2 runs, Tyler Thomas produced an RBI, and Johnny Golden added a run.
Thompson, Dunlap, & Heydinger’s championship capped a 17-1 season. Huntsville finished 15-4.
