Two Logan County girls helped the Marysville-based Heart of Ohio Nitro 14u softball team win two tournaments recently.
The Logan County girls on the team are Sammi Miller of Indian Lake and Helena Faulder of Riverside.
The team won the Midwest All Sanctioned World Series in Columbus last month beating the Ohio Hawks 8-0 in the championship game. The team went 8-0 on the weekend.
They won the 14u Class “A” Eastern National Tournament in Salem, Virginia last weekend beating the West Virginia Wild 1’s 4-1 in the championship game on Sunday. The girls went 8-1 on the weekend.
The team's overall record is 47-11, winning 5 out of 9 tournaments this year.
