A few middle school volleyball squads were in action Wednesday.
The Benjamin Logan 8th grade team defeated Graham in two games: 25-13 and 25-20.
Coreen Crosby and Brianna Frazier each served for 8 points, Hayley Boysel fired 7 points with 3 aces, and Addie Rodenberger added 7 points. Ashley Wilkins and Crosby each contributed 2 kills, and Allie Wilson, Darian Rockhold, Kierstynn Terry, and Aundria Sheeley each added a kill. Boysel and Rodenberger each recorded 2 digs.
The 8th grade Lady Raiders improve to 9-2 and will host Fairbanks and Sidney Holy Angels on Saturday.
The Benjamin Logan 7th grade fell to Graham 25-13 and 25-22.
Stanleigh Archer had 6 kills and 5 assists, McKinzie Jones contributed 4 aces, 2 kills, and 5 assists, Madison Jones tallied 2 aces and 1 kill, Josselyn Terry and Avery Braun each fired an ace, Brooke Cotner added an ace and a kill, Kolby Hamilton recorded a kill, and Sabrina Lloyd added a dig.
The 7th grade Lady Raiders will host Fairbanks and Sidney Holy Angels Saturday.
The Bellefontaine 7th grade team beat Tecumseh in 2 sets: 25–16 and 25-16.
Kelli Daisy had 9 points and Ari Hiatt and Kiersten King added 5 points. Zoe Price played strong defense.
The Bellefontaine 8th grade team fell to Tecumseh 19-25, 17-25.
Haylee Pequignot, Brooklyn Meadows, and Kassidi Sullivan were the top servers.
Emily Fulmer and Maddie Stout added strong setting and net play.
